Villa Aegean is a striking five-bedroom, six-bathroom retreat perched above the iconic Imerovigli Caldera, one of the island’s most iconic sunset view points. Offering unrivalled panoramic views, Villa Aegean is far removed from the whitewashed Cycladic architecture, instead it echos Santorini’s volcanic origins. Redesigned by Elastic Architects, volcanic rock Basalt sits at the heart of Villa Aegean’s design.

Traditional Santorini homes were designed with small windows and entrances to keep interiors cool by minimizing direct sunlight and trapping cool air inside. Built into volcanic rock, these homes naturally regulated temperature, staying cool in summer and warm in winter. However, Villa Aegean’s design reinterpret this concept by incorporating sculptural openings and curved entrances that enhance airflow while maintaining the island’s architectural essence. The design boldly embraces black stone, a nod to the island’s geology.

Inside, the villa features tastefully designed living spaces, expansive seating areas and a chic dining room, the vaulted ceilings create a sense of spaciousness, complementing modern, hotel-inspired interiors. Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen and expansive wine cellar, while the villa also caters to wellness and entertainment with a cutting-edge media room, a fully equipped gym, and a rejuvenating sauna.

Outside, a black stone pool reflects the sky like a mirror, a striking contrast to Santorini’s signature whitewashed aesthetic. Additionally, a modern bar area and BBQ space provide the perfect setting for entertaining guests, elevating the villa’s overall charm. The villa also boasts three with spectacular sunset views, private seating areas, and balconies.
